We are a 4-piece indie/alternative rock band from Stoke On Trent. Rebranded for a fresh start beginning in January 2017. Originally Called LazEye previous to our new beginning we formed around 2 years ago.

In the time since we have released a string of singles independently and supported these releases with gigs and tours across the UK. Artists we have supported include The Enemy, The Bluetones and Mark Morris Respectively, John Power (Cast), Billy Lunn (The Subways), Johnny Brown (Twisted Wheel) The Sherlocks, Space and Delamere to name a few. We have also appeared at several festivals across the country and have become a regular headliner of the mainstages of all of our local festivals such as The Lymelight Festival in Newcaslte Under Lyme, The Alsager Music Festival in Alsager and this year we have been asked to headline Stoke-on-Trents Your City festival... a large city wide festival organised in aid of our bid to become Britain’s city of culture for 2018.

All this momentum, growth and success in our local area led to us receiving an award last year for “Best Band” at the Staffordshire and South Cheshire music awards. An evening that received a great deal of attention as it brought together the best artists in the region from a variety of styles and genres.

Following all this progression we were approached by Spectra Music Group, the largest Independent record label in America and offered a 5 track Licensing deal. This resulted in them releasing a single for us worldwide on all major music platforms. The single received widespread radio play and took us and our brand to new audiences. This came out at the end of 2015, we were hoping that it along with Spectra’s help would lead to us being able to progress to the next stage on our journey. Hopefully, bigger shows, wider audiences and then as a result some investment to help us to progress. Unfortunately, as is common place in this industry this did not follow and we spent much of last year recording and writing new material with the aim of going again in 2017.

As we start 2017, our musical direction, image and style has progressed and having not released new music for over a year we felt a change in name to mark a new start was the right thing to do. We are now working with a UK Independent called Ugly Man Records who have in the past released work for Elbow, I am Kloot and Black. Their aim is to work with us over the coming 6 months to release 3 new singles to recapture the momentum from our initial 12 months with the goal of growing our brand and band again.

We are very passionate about what we do, we work extremely hard and make numerous sacrifices all due to our belief in our strong songs, our infectious live shows and our loyal fan base. We love to work with new people who are as passionate about what we do as we are, if this is something you can help us with, we would love to have you on board.
Below are the relevant links to our pages, please bear in mind that we are currently in the process of the rebrand so some of the names and URL’s are taking time to change. LazyEye or Camens, its both us.

Best Regards, - Scott, Luke, Josh and James – Camens
