PLAZA drop savage, powerful statement track ‘Deep In My Head’ and announce release of debut self-titled EP ‘PLAZA’, out April 14th via Beyond the Wall Records
“A loud and delightful track, full of infectious hooks and hypnotising vocals, “Deep In My Head” is both bold and beautiful.” Wonderland
“Headstrong and intelligent, PLAZA’s mathematical take on anthemic indie ties itself in ever-tightening knots from the off ” DIY Magazine
Reverb soaked guitars create a haunting backdrop for Brad Lennard’s contemplative vocals, before a sudden spark of ferocity in the instrumentation ushers in an electrifying primal scream. Simultaneously claustrophobic and cavernous in feeling ‘Deep in My Head’ is the most irresistible statement of intent from PLAZA to date.
4 late-teens from the industrial seaside town of Hartlepool, PLAZA are writing anthems that resonate the trials and tribulations of growing up; youthful romance, lukewarm beers, parmos and the ‘prospects’ this brings in divided Britain.
With their debut releases through 2016, PLAZA have quickly gained a reputation for their intelligent songwriting and chaotic live shows around the UK, which includes supporting the likes of Blaenavon, Ratboy, Gengahr and Jaws, as well as showcase performances for DIY Magazine & The Tipping Point. From these marquee shows, to house party and rehearsal room gigs, and slots at some of the UK’s key new music festivals the lads have honed their craft to perfection.
In support of their EP’s release, PLAZA are taking on a run of dates around the UK, which includes a stint with North London’s finest Haus.
